Yesterday, on July 12, the former President of the European Parliament, Pat Cox and the former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski visited the Kyiv detention center, ForUm learnde from the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine press office.
The representatives of the European Parliament were informed of the infrastructure of institutions, described the various categories of prisoners, and provided information about the main features of the institution’s activity.
After that, the delegation visited some facilities of the medical unit, as well as building for women prisoners.
In addition, the European Parliament met with the defendants Yuri Lutsenko and Valery Ivashchenko.
