Ukraine is interested in searching for the cooperation mechanisms with the Customs Union, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during the informal meeting with the Club of editors of the CIS countries, Baltic states and Georgia, as ForUm learned from the press service of the Head of State.
"We are holding constant negotiations to establish the cooperation mechanisms with the Customs Union," he said.
The President stressed that it is a completely new formation, which has just come into force, so it is very important for Ukraine to see the results of this work. "We come up to this issue very pragmatically. When we get the results of this integration union, then we will take a decision," he said.
At the same time, the President considered the cooperation of Ukraine with the Customs Union to be of current interest at the sector level. "The cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union at the sector level, in fact, confirms the idea we were talking about," Yanukovych said.
