Ukraine is interested in fostering cooperation with Azerbaijan in gas and oil processing industries, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during the informal meeting with the Club of Editors of the CIS countries, the Baltic States and Georgia, ForUm learned from the President’s press office.
"We keep negotiating with our Azerbaijan partners. We believe that cooperation in the gas and oil processing industries is mutually beneficial for Azerbaijan and Ukraine," the President said. He noted that the part of this work is already done. According to Yanukovych, now Ukraine annually receives about 4 million tons of oil from Azerbaijan.
The President also said that Ukraine is interested in participating in a diverse energy projects, in the construction of gas pipeline systems in particular. Yanukovych emphasized that our state has enough resources and experience to implement these plans.
