The realization of reforms aimed at improvement of social and economic situation in Ukraine will continue, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during an informal meeting with representatives of the Club of editors-in-chief of CIS and Baltic countries.
The President reminded that in 2010 the Ukrainian authorities announced the beginning of the "ambitious program" on modernization and economic reforms. "I admit that the reforms are being carried out not as fast as we expected, and we understand that the slowdown is conditioned by the human factor, but general dynamics is positive," Yanukovych said.
"But there are no doubts that we will continue and extend these reforms," the President added.
Yanukovych believes that it was the reformation of some areas of activity of the country, which enabled to improve the economic situation in Ukraine and created the base for social reformations.
