As of July 1, 40% of the plan on preparation for the next heating season is completed in Ukraine, the Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing Anatoliy Blyznyuk said during a conference in the Cabinet, as ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the minister, 482 km of heating systems are scheduled for replacement before the heating season starts. He reminded that the extension of domestic heating systems in 2-pipe calculation equals to 33122.7 km, including 4865.5 km or 14.7% of old and emergency systems.
The official also added that at the beginning of the Verkhovna Rada next session, in September, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing will ask MPs to take a decision on the allocation of UAH 6 billion from the national budget to pay off the difference between the heat rates and its real prime cost. "It requires changes in the budget. This decision will be of the top priority during new Parliament session," Blyznyuk said.
