The Meteorological Office of Ukraine rules out the possibility of extending to Ukraine the storm, which caused flooding in the Krasnodar region of Russia, the director of the Meteorological Office of Ukraine Mykola Kulbida told a briefing, ForUm learned from the Emergencies Ministry press service.

"The synoptic process in Kuban, brought about a huge amount of rainfall - 300 mm or more, is stationary. The cyclone stays in the North Caucasus already for few days. This is a high-altitude cyclone, atmospheric vortex, which leads to the formation of powerful rain clouds and heavy rains. We do not expect this atmospheric process to extend on the territory of Ukraine or the south-eastern and eastern parts of Crimea," Kulbida said.

At the same time, the director of the Meteorological Office of Ukraine noted that of the threat may be intense storms that will come to Ukraine from the west. According to him, local flooding with the sharp fluctuations in water level is possible due to the rainfall in the Carpathian Mountains.

Kulbida said that on July 10-12, within the entire territory of Ukraine, except the south and east, the rainfalls of varying intensity are expected. On July 15-20, a moderate temperature regime will remain and also there will be thunderstorms.
