On July 4 the statement of Volodymyr Lytvyn on his resignation from the position of chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was registered in the Parliament Office, as ForUm learned from the VR press office.
As a reminder, on July 3, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted as a whole the law on the principals of national language policy with 248 votes in favor, which expands the rights of the Russian language in Ukraine.
The parliamentary opposition declared that the bill was passed with a large number of violations, so it was going to boycott the work of the current session, which ends on July 6 this year according to the schedule.
