The President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych called the parliamentary factions’ leaders to make all efforts to ensure the Parliament work, the President's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, the PR member Yuriy Miroshnychenko told reporters on the sidelines of the Parliament, as ForUm correspondent reports.

"As for early elections, the President stressed that this variant is not the desirable development of these events. The working parliament is more important than electoral battles," he said.

Answering the question who should sign the bills now, including today adopted changes in regulations, Miroshnychenko said: "The head of the Parliament Volodymyr Lytvyn."

"His resignation statement has not been considered by the Parliament yet, he is absolutely legitimate head of the Parliament," the MP said.
