The MPs haven’t learned yet whether the vote for Lytvyn resignation will be held, the source on the sidelines of the Parliament told, as ForUm correspondent reports.

Everything depends on the results of the meeting between the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the Parliament speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn. In particular, there are very few MPs in the Parliament.

The Party of Regions believes Lytvyn could have made a statement guided by emotions. "We all are human beings. Some people are emotional, and others are very emotional," the first deputy head of the PR faction Mykhailo Chechetov told ForUm.

"Politicians are very emotional and sometimes emotions move a man, and it takes time to cool the emotions down. We have a great respect for Volodymyr Mykhailovych, as a politician, a man and a scientist. The emotions have moved him today," Chechetov said.

"We believe that in this situation he has to work on his post till the end of term, and it is primarily in the interests of the Ukrainian people and the state. He should calm down and continue his work," the first deputy head of the PR faction summed up.
