Yefremov does not associate the language law adoption with the Putin’s visit to Yalta

The leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov does not associate the accelerated adoption of the language law with the visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Yalta on July 12 at the meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

Responding the question of the journalist whether the adoption of the law in violation of the regulations was caused by the visit of Putin to Ukraine in the near future, Yefremov stressed that he did not know about "any visits".

"Lately, we have been working so intensively here in Parliament and the time was so compressed that there was no time to monitor other political events," the leader of the Party of Regions said.
According to him, the Party of Regions stated that the language law would be adopted during the current parliamentary session (session is to be closed on July 6 - Ed.) hence, everything was done to ensure the passing of the law.

Yefremov also said that yesterday's visit of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to the Parliament was not caused by the adoption of the language law. According to him, it’s a "mere coinidence".
