During the 2011-2012 academic year, the Education and Science, Youth and Sports Ministry of Ukraine deprived of licenses 14 higher education institutions, the head of the State Inspectorate for education institutions of the Education Ministry Mykhailo Honcharenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

He noted that 11 institutions are completely deprived of licenses, and three are deprived partially, on certain specialties.

"The common violations include admission to faculties without licenses, provision of paid services, not stipulated by the legislation, significant excess in time sheet for professors and the teaching those subjects in which the university employees have no professional education or scientific degree. Also, there were such violations, as the lack of classrooms, their own gym," Honcharenko explained.

According to him, this year during the admission campaign, the department intends to check 33 higher education institutions in 10 regions of the country.

In addition, Honcharenko gave some advice to future students. In particular, he urged them to carefully study the documents of universities they enrolling at.
