The leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov does not rule out that the Parliament may consider the "language" bill in its second reading this week, he said during a briefing answering the question whether PR insists on the consideration of the bill this week.

Yefremov noted that the relevant committee has 30 days to prepare the bill for the second reading according to the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time Yefremov expressed the belief that a great number of amendments to the "language" bill had been filed for the purpose of intentional delay to prevent the consideration of this issue in the session hall.

"We have a structure norm, and we will act in accordance with it. If the committee does not consider this bill within 30 days and does not take any decision, the Parliament has a right to consider it," Yefremov said.

He also noted that the 30-day period to review committee amendment expires this week.
