Ukraine and Poland have proved Europe and the whole world their ability to implement grandiose projects, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn said during a meeting with the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland Bogdan Borusewicz, as ForUm learned from the VR press-service.
"We have done everything for the football holiday take place. The Ukrainian and Polish hospitality during the Championship will certainly serve as a positive image of our states," Lytvyn said. However, the head of the Parliament regretted that the teams of Ukraine and Poland did not make it to the final of Euro 2012.
The sides highly appreciated the level of bilateral parliamentary cooperation and stressed the importance of further development of constructive cooperation within the framework of inter-parliamentary assemblies as well.
