The American legal advisers will meet with Yulia Tymoshenko, as Forum learned from the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine press service.
The office representative of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, in Washington Gregory Greg said that the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice asked the office of providing legal consulters for advice on the improving criminal justice system.
According to him, the Skadden representatives will conduct the independent review of Tymoshenko criminal case, collect and examine the facts and evidence upon which the court prisoner prosecution was based.
"The Skadden representatives have settled this issue with Tymoshenko lawyer Sergiy Vlasenko, who informed about Tymoshenko consent to meet with Skadden representatives on June 28, 2012," the statement said.
According to the press service of State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Skadden representatives have a right to meet with the convict, and only four representatives of the company will take a direct part in this visit.
