The Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo must be watched over during all the game, the Spanish national team defender Gerard Piqué told UEFA.

“The time when you have to be most focused on Ronaldo is actually when you have the ball. He's at his most dangerous then because if your team loses the ball and he starts to run when you've lost a sense of where he is then he can be unstoppable,” Piqué noted.

In his opinion, the entire Spaish defence has to help each other defend against Ronaldo. “If one of us in particular is covering Ronaldo and watching where he's attempting to go then that guy must not give him space or time to think because then you are dead,” the Spanish defender added.

On June 27, Spain will play against Portugal in the first Euro 2012 semi.
