Kravchuk wants to set down the electoral principles into the Constitution

The former President of Ukraine, the chairman of the Constitutional Assembly of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk believes it is necessary to set down the electoral principles into the Constitution of Ukraine.

"The Constitution must stipulate the election legislation procedure, so we do not come back to this issue again," said Kravchuk.

He also believes that a mixed electoral system will be the best solution for Ukraine.

Moreover, he said there is a need to eliminate all the drawbacks of the electoral procedure, which will become apparent during the parliamentary elections to be held in the fall.
