Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has criticized the leadership of the Agrarian Ministry and a number of heads of regional state administrations for failure to provide local farmers with subsidies for breeding young cattle, ForUm correspondent reports.

Speaking at he morning session of the Cabinet Azarov reminded that the state budget allocated one billion 46 million for these purposes. "However, in a number of regions, not a single farmer has applied for the subsidies," he said.

"It means that the Agrarian Ministry and local authorities have failed to provide proper information about the very subsidies and obtaining procedure. If the nearest future the situation does not change we will take tough measures," Azarov warned the officials.
