Prosecutor Genral of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka held a meeting with Euroepan Parlaiment official Aleksander Kwasniewski and Patrick Cox, ForUm learned from the GPO press office. During the meeting the sides discussed the most high-profile criminal case, including cases against former state officials Yulia Tymoshenko, Yuri Lutsenko and Valery Ivashchenko.

"Mr. Kwasniewski and Mr. Cox have received full and detailed information about detention condition and rehabilitation treatment of detainees, namely Yulia Tymoshenko. The officials also discussed the reformation of the criminal justice system in Ukraine," the report says.

In turn, Prosecutor General Pshonka noted that Ukraine is carrying out a number of democratic reforms, needed for being a law-governed state and for Ukraine's integration into the EU.
