Monthly fee of the landline phone usage will increase by 10-20% this year, the deputy director of the National Commission economic analysis department on communication and informational state control (NCRCI) Tatiana Iyevleva announced at the press conference, as ForUm correspondent reports.
The monthly fee of the landline phone usage will increase by 10% for natural and legal persons in all residential places from July 1, while the rural area residents will pay another 10% more from November 1 due to the marginal data plan of landline communications, she said.
At the same time, the analytical department director of "Concorde Capital" Aleksander Parashchiy agreed with the state regulator representative that data plans should be increased, however, he noted that this increase would lead to the users number reduction. The number of landline communications users has decreased by 1% over the last five quarters, he added.
According to him, the number of the landline phone owners will reduce by 10% from 60 to 50% in 5 years.
As a reminder, since September 1, 2011 the landline phone monthly fee with time-based billing has increased by 10%.
