Polish radio station may be deprived of license because of jokes about Ukrainian women
The Polish Radio Eska radio station could be deprived of the right to use its frequency of FM broadcast because of the controversial statements of its DJs about the Ukrainian women, aired on June 12.

Such a probability is stated in the report of the Polish National Council for Radio and Television, which plans to consider this issue at its meeting.

The Council representatives noted that they had received numerous complaints about the statements of Michal Figurski and Kuba Wojewodzki  aired in the Poranny WF morning show about the Ukrainian female domestic workers from the "perturbed radio listeners," the Ukrainian Embassy in Warsaw and the Association of Ukrainians in Poland.

"The Council members consider all the possibilities of punishment, stipulated by the effective legislation, including a recall of the license," a report of the Council says.

The Council representatives noted that last year, the radio station was twice fined for the statements aired in the Poranny WF show at about 15 thousand dollars each time.
