The captain of the Ukrainian national football team Andriy Shevchenko believes that yesterday Italy played better football than England.
"I think the best team won yesterday, because Italy, indeed, showed the best football. It had a better chance of scoring and the luck was on their side. In a penalty shootout the Italians proved once again that the best team won," he said after opening the playground of 216 Kyiv school, in which he studied.
Shevchenko said that “it is very hard” to predict who would reach the Euro 2012 final match as the four best teams are left now.
