Customs has to become an efficient instrument of government support and stimulation of economy and domestic producers, the President stated in his speech delivered at the celebrations of the Customs Service Day. “It is necessary to intensify the work on filling the state treasury, while improving business conditions in our country,” Viktor Yanukovych emphasized.
President expressed his confidence that the new Customs Code would become an efficient instrument of realization of state policy in this sphere. “It is necessary to simplify the procedure of customs control and registration of goods. The execution of such procedures should be clear, transparent for business and improve the investment climate of our state,” President Yanukovych stressed.
At the same time the Head of State noted that such work would be efficient only on condition of close cooperation with law enforcement and other government agencies. “Only on such basis it is possible to prevent violations and ensure efficient work of customs at the appropriate European level,” the President said.
