The income level of the UEFA European Championship in 2012 roughly corresponds to those of the last championship held in Austria and Switzerland, Euro-2012 Operations Director Martin Kallen told a press conference in Warsaw.
"The income levels of the current and the last championship are more or less the same. Maybe even a little more, but the expenses were larger as well," the director said.
He added that the sponsors and the television companies are satisfied with the cooperation with the UEFA during the season.
Commenting on the impact of the crisis on the income from sponsors, Kallen said that profit margins had reached the level of income from the championships in 2004 and 2008.
Earlier, the UEFA said it expects the profit from Euro-2012 in the amount of 1.3 billion euros.
