Today the General Assembly of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) has expelled the very post "general secretary of the NOC" after the approval of the resignation of the general secretary Volodymyr Gerashchenko.
The decision of the NOC President of Ukraine Sergiy Bubka was supported by the majority votes of the members, as correspondent ForUm reports.
The NOC secretary general post is no longer functioning in different countries, so Ukraine follows the standard, Bubka explained.
The investigation on the case of Volodymyr Gerashchenko by the International Olympic Committee is still in progress, hence no one knows how exactly the decision will be viewed, the NOC President reported.
As reported, on May 31 the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee accepted the resignation of Volodymyr Gerashchenko.
