As of today, 96% of the taxes are paid voluntarily in Ukraine, the chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine (STSU) Oleksander Klimenko said at the press conference, as ForUm correspondent reported.
"We do not force anyone. We hold a dialogue with prompt taxpayers, while with abusive taxpayers we don't even bother to speak, we immediately take tough measures," he specified.
According to Klimenko, Ukraine needs to work out a tax culture. "It will be easier when everyone realizes that the taxes have to be paid," the head of STSU said.
As a reminder, the award ceremony "The prompt taxpayers of Ukraine in 2011" was held in Kyiv on May 24.
