The State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine will assist to organize a meeting between Yulia Tymoshenko and European parliament observers Pat Cox and Alexander Kwasnewski.
According to the press office of the Service, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has received a request to organize a meeting between EU officials and Yulia Tymoshenko. The State Penitentiary Service has considered the request and informed FM about its readiness to assist with organization of a meeting, scheduled for June 24.
The mandate of the EP observers has been extended. The EU officials are know authorized to follow the cases of former interior minister Yuri Lutsenko and former defense minister Valery Ivashchenko.
