In general eight teams, one from Germany and 7 from different cities of Ukraine, participate in the tournament, ForUm learned from the tournament’s organizers.
Matches will be held in the "European town" near the Arch of Friendship of Peoples in Kyiv.
One of the project’s organizers Zara Shloti said that the goal of the tournament is to show that not only men can play football, but women as well.
According to her, the tournament will be attended by non-professional teams collected over the Internet. "We have contacted the Energy club representatives and they helped us to organize the event and invite the teams," she said.
Shloti noted that the development of women football indicates the women's rights situation in the country. "In Ukraine, I think men and women are equal in rights, but, as in Germany, it is necessary to dispel the stereotype that football is a men's sport," she summed up.
