Starting from June 30 this year the National Bank of Ukraine is to increase the standards of the required provisioning of the foreign currency deposits by 1-1.5 percentage points, in particular, it will increase from 8% to 9% in the short-term deposits of legal entities and individual persons, and from 2% to 3% in the long-term deposits.

According to the NBU Resolution № 248 of June 19, sent out to banks on Wednesday, the requirement of the provisioning of foreign currency deposits for the legal entities and the individual persons on demand and on means of current accounts has increased from 8.5% to 10%.

In addition, the standard of the foreign currency provisioning, engaged by banks from the non-resident banks and the financial organizations of non-residents, has increased from 2% to 3% (except the Russian rubles).

The standards of hryvnia deposits remained unchanged and equals to zero.
