The Ukrainian national football team unfairly was defeated by the English in the final game of the group round of Euro 2012, the former Dutch midfielder of FC "Feyenoord" and the German FC "Schalke", the member of the Russian Olympic team Denys  Klyuyev said.

"There was a goal scored by the Ukrainians. It is clear for everyone. I think the final score does not show the real game on the field. If the goal had been counted, it would have been a quite different atmosphere on the field. Ukraine did not deserve the defeat in this match. The Ukrainians came to win and to beat the famous rival, not just play against them. Maybe something did not work, but it was clear that they played with good grace, "Klyuyev said.

"The FC "Dynamo Kyiv" and Ukrainian national team are known for quick passes from flank to flank, for good and fast midfielders, and they demonstrated it during the game. The good young guys are coming," he added.

Klyuyev said that Oleg Blokhin has created a good team, and "no one can complain."

As a reminder, the referee of the Ukrainian-English match Viktor Kashshai and his assistants failed to notice a shot of the Ukraine striker Marko Devic, who skillfully beat a defender John Terry and sent the ball into the net back.

As ForUm reported previously, the Ukrainian team lost to the English team with a score 0-1 and was crashed out the tournament.
