From the beginning of Euro 2012 more than 4,800 Swedish fans have been living in the campsite on the Trukhaniv island in Kiev, the first vice-chairman of Kiev city state administration Oleksandr Mazurchak said at the shared press conference with the Swedish representative, the fan camping organizer Niklas Helberg, as ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, despite of the fact that many Swedes have already left the Truhanov Island, the camping is still functioning during Euro 2012. "We’ve received the applications from other countries. The Germans will more likely live there till July 1," he said.

The Kyiv official also said that only the buildings used for camping and the fence around it will be removed at the end of the championship.

"The recreation area for the Kyiv residents will be created on this place. The beach lighting and roads will remain, but there will be no buildings, "Mazurchak said.
