The Civil Position political party, headed by the MP from the NU-NS faction Anatoliy Hrytsenko joined the Fatherland united opposition.

The signing of the merger document took place in the Parliament of Ukraine, ForUm correspondent reports. The meeting was attended by the deputy chairman of the Fatherland party Oleksandr Turchynov, the Front of Changes party leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Anatoliy Hrytsenko.

The united opposition was created on the basis of the Fatherland party. In May it merged the Front of Changes, the People’s Self-Defense, the Reforms and Order, the For Ukraine! and the People’s Movement of Ukraine parties. The electoral list of the united opposition is opened by the former Prime Minister, the leader of the Fatherland party Yulia Tymoshenko and the leader of the Front of Changes party Arseniy Yatseniuk. The central headquarters of the united opposition is headed by Turchynov. On June 7, Yatseniuk was appointed the head of the Council of the united opposition.
