The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has sent the draft bill on cancellation deputy's immunity, submitted by the opposition, to the Constitutional Court with 389 votes in favour.
The initiative was launched by Batkivshchyna party member Mykola Tomenko and supported my the majority of the parliament (173 votes from the Party of Regions, 99 votes from BYuT, 51 votes from Our Ukraine, 25 from Communists, 20 from People's party, eight from Reforms for the future and 13 from non-factional MPs).
The given draft bill provides for total cancellation of state official immunity, including the President and judges.
