Ukraine intends to increase trade with Germany
Ukraine is interested in increasing trade with Germany, the first vice prime minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy said during a meeting with the delegate of German economy in Ukraine Karin Rau, held on June 18, 2012 in Kiev, the press service of the first vice prime minister reports.

The sides discussed state and prospects of bilateral economic relationship between Ukraine and Germany. The first vice prime minister noted the success of the Ukrainian-German cooperation. "The trade between our countries is approaching 10 billion dollars a year and we do not even use all opportunities for trade and economic cooperation. We can improve this number by increasing the export of Ukrainian goods, "Khoroshkovskiy said.

According to him, the further implementation of common projects in the financial, industrial, agricultural and other fields should be the primary tool for attracting German investments to the Ukrainian economy.

Mrs. Rau in turn noted the positive developments in the Ukrainian economy over the last two years. "German companies in Ukraine have felt the positive effects after adopting new tax and customs codes. As for the VAT refund, it feels essential progress," she underlined. According to Mrs. Rau, thanks to the government steps toward improving the investment climate, German companies in Ukraine were able to improve their economic results.
