Setting into operation each new house contributes to the economy development, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the ceremony of setting into operation a residential house for the Antonov public enterprise workers in Hostomel (Kyiv region), ForUm learned from the Cabinet’s press office.

"I made a special trip to participate in this event because it is a part of the program we are implementing to revive housing construction in the country and make housing more affordable to develop the economy of Ukraine on this basis. Therefore, each house, set into operation, is a contribution to the development of our economy," Azarov said.

The Prime Minister mentioned that he was extremely pleased that the management board of the Antonov public enterprise directed the significant portion of their profits at the construction of housing for their employees. According to him, it will make young professionals keep working at the state enterprise.

However, Azarov urged the Antonov management to upgrade machinery and production lines. "Of course, you need to upgrade machinery and production lines. However, the company employs people, and they should be encouraged. Therefore, it is a right step not only to upgrade the production facilities but also to care of people and their housing problems in particular. You should proceed working in this direction," the head of government said.

The Antonov public enterprise hotel and housing estate consists of two houses, each comprising 112 apartments. The cost of accommodation varies from 485 to 580 UAH per apartment per month.
