The National Bank of Ukraine will not issue new banknotes to fulfill the "Affordable housing" program, chairman of NBU department on currency reserves and open market operations Oleksandr Dubikhvost told the roundtable "Affordable and conformable housing".
The official reminded that NBU and Ukraine were cooperating with IMF program, which provides for various means of refinancing, including refinancing secured by government papers.
According to Dubikhvost, Ukraine has enough available funds, and NBU data proves the population has around 190 billion hryvnias.
In addition, as of June 13 the banks have already delivered four billion hryvnias of refinancing to the National Bank.
