Father Taras placed the projector, laptop and monitor in the lower church of the former temple. He thinks that it’s not a sin, as the Scripture does not prohibit sports.
"I think it's a good team competition. The older people tell their grandchildren and children, who do not go to the church often, about that, so for younger generation it’s a good opportunity to come to the temple, to see that there is nothing scary in a church itself and its priest," he said.
The parishioners do not pray for match results. Father Taras says that it is no good to pray God for winning. Father himself is cheering for the beautiful game of our team and its victory.
As a reminder, the European Football Championship will be held June 8-July 1 in 8 cities of Ukraine and Poland.
