The adviser to the President – the head of the International Relations Department of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Andriy Honcharuk met with one of the IMF executive directors Menno Snel, ForUm learned from the President’s press office.

The Parties discussed the current socio-economic situation in Ukraine in the context of systemic reform implementation, the prospects for cooperation with the IMF, in particular, the question of reforming the Fund’s Board of Directors.

"Ukraine is interested in the continuation of effective cooperation with the IMF," the adviser to the President said after the meeting.

As reported, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that in 2013, Ukraine expects to get a new aid package from the International Monetary Fund under the stand-by program totaling 15.5 billion dollars, frozen in March last year.
