The Ukrainian police officers assist foreign police officers who work in the international police cooperation centre in protecting the law and order, the interior minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko told a briefing during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The foreign police officers stay just among the fans and if necessary, talk with them to prevent wrongdoings. Their responsibilities also include meeting their compatriots at airports and railway stations. Policemen also attend their place of stay in hotels and camping cities," the minister said.

According to Zakharchenko, currently, about 80 representatives of the European police agencies are working as the experts in Ukraine.

"Foreign police officers consider the cooperation with their Ukrainian colleagues to be well-established and underline the adequate standard of training and professionalism of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry representatives," he said.

Yesterday, on June 12, the official German police delegation consisting of 12 police officers arrived in Kharkiv.
