
"To improve the quality of customer service during the currency-exchange operations we recommend instructing the employees on the correct customer service and attracting new employees speaking foreign languages," the urgent letter of the head of the NBU Serhyi Arbuzov, published on Tuesday, says.
The head of the Central Bank also notes that banks are prohibited to copy the page of ID certificate when buying foreign currency. However, the currency exchange offices employees should remind non-residents the rules of selling back the UAH remained: only on presentation of receipts and a special identity card. This should be done by employees in foreign languages.
"I entrust the bank managers with taking personal control over timely providing cash desks and the offices of currency exchange with cash, especially the national currency, for the smooth conduct of operations," the letter says.
Yesterday, on June 12, the National Bank of Ukraine said that the ATMs in Khreschyatyk, Kyiv, are working without any problems.
