The U.S. prosecutors accuse the Kharkiv citizen Maksym Shynkarenko of producing and distributing pornography in America. Under American legislation, a man may be sentenced to life imprisonment.

Shynkarenko was arrested back in 2009 in Thailand, where he came for vacation, and yet on June 10 he was extradited from Thailand to the United States.

Immediately after the arrest, Shynkarenko was sent to the Bangkok Remand Prison. In 2010 he was transferred to the prison for murderers and lifers.

In the same year, the local court adjudged his extradition to the United States. However, Shynkarenko filed an appeal, which the Thai court considered for two years and dismissed on April 30, 2012.

The indictment, delivered by the prosecutor's office on Monday, June 11 has 32 points. It says that the Kharkiv citizen "was selling tens of thousand of horrific pornographic photos and videos depicting infants and children from one year to three and the adolescents being sexually abused by adults." According to the prosecution, a Ukrainian conducted his business in 2003-2008 through a few sites.

In addition to Shynkarenko and his three accomplices, 560 U.S. citizens in 47 countries were also arrested for the use of the banned sites.

The relatives of Shynkarenko insist on his innocence and are confident that he will prove it in court.
