The central district court of Mykolaiv has satisfied the motion of the state prosecution and decided to hold open trial on the case of Oksana Makar rape and murder.

"The court has satisfied the motion on open trial, except for certain hearings which will study proofs of intimate character," the statement of the GPO press office informs.

As reported, Oksana Makar, 19-year-old girl was raped, burned alive and left in a street to die. She survived the night and was delivered to a hospital with 55% of burns. Despite the intensive care treatment the girl died after several days of lungs bleeding.

Three suspects of the attempted murder were charged with rape and an attempt to cover the crime. Following the girl's death the case was reclassified into intended murder. The article of the Criminal Code on intended murder provides for life sentence.
