
According to her, although there is a positive trend compared to previous years, the issue is not closed yet. In particular, remains a problem of the availability of alcohol, drugs and tobacco, and young people use it.
In turn, the chairman of the Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute of Social Studies Olha Balakireva reported on statistics.
"In Ukraine, 74% of boys and 61% of girls has the experience of smoking. 36% of the pupils first tried smoking before the age of 13 years," she said.
According to her, the results indicate that the number of young people aged 15-17 years who has consumed alcohol at least once in life is 87%.
Balakireva noted that if compare with the previous years, the number of young people being on drugs reduced from 24% to 12%.
