The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov congratulated the team of Ukraine on the first victory at Euro 2012, gained yesterday over the Swedish national team, ForUm learned from the Cabinet’s press office.
"I thank our team, all the players and coaches for their first victory. I thank Ukraine for strong support of our team, and for wonderful celebration of European football," the head of government said.
"The support for our players was felt everywhere. Yesterday I felt this rise in the fan zone in Khreshchyatyk and at the stadium. I am sure that this considerably helped the national team players to win in a challenging but fair fight. The team has shown a high class game, and I, like every citizen of Ukraine, am proud of this victory of our country," Azarov said.
