"The order, safety and health of people should be of top priority for you," the Prime Minister addressed the organizers of the fan zone, the Kyiv city authorities and the police officers during his visit to the official Euro 2012 fan zone in Khreshchyatyk.
In their turn, the representatives of Kyiv authorities and the law enforcement agencies said that the fan zone complied with the rules similar to those, which are valid at the stadiums during the matches of Euro 2012. These measures have international approval and comply with all the recommendations of the UEFA.
The squads of the law-enforcement agencies, medical, fire, rescue and other services are on a constant duty in order to keep order in the fan zone and on the adjacent territory. In addition, there are more than 50 stationary cameras to monitor closely the situation in each square meter of the fan zones.
Moreover, the organizers assured the Prime Minister that the fan zone staff underwent special training, in particular had studied the international experience of large-scale sporting events and rules of behavior in emergency situations and undergone the relevant training.
