"Now all the Swedish fans are preparing for a march. This is a Swedish tradition. Everything starts on the Lesia Ukrainka square. I think about 15 thousand Swedish fans will be in Kyiv. Around 10-11 thousand will take part in the march. However, we have already held more numerous marches - up to 20 thousand people. This is a normal tradition, to which the Swedish fans are ready," Hosted said.
He added that he is not for the first time in Ukraine. He has been here many times, preparing the arrival of fans. Hosted noted that the Ukrainians are very friendly and hospitable in welcoming foreigners.
He also noted that the work of the Swedish fan camping on Trukhaniv Island is well organized. Some complaints were heard on the first day of the settlement, but now everyone is happy.
According Hosted, even yesterday's heavy rain did not spoil the mood of the fans. As Hosted noted, Swedish fans are ready to live in camping under any conditions.
The deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Anatoliy Holubchenko, present at the press conference, said that today in connection with the Ukraine-Sweden match, the official Euro 2012 fan zone in Khreshchyatyk will work until 2.00 am.
"We know that a lot of fans want to stay after the match. As you know the match starts late, so the fans coming out of the stadium may want to continue celebrating in the fan zone. Therefore we prolong the work of fan zones up to 2 a.m.," Holubchenko said.
He said the program activities planned in the fan zone will end earlier, to give the Kyiv residents living in the center a chance to rest. But the fans will still be able to stay until 2.00 a.m.
Holubchenko informed that for convenient transportation of fans the underground will put a 2.30 a.m. additional train, reminding that on the days of the matches the underground will run until 1.00 am. Aboveground public transport tonight will be open until 3.00.
He also reminded that the 1.5 km transport perimeter is set up in the city center, so the driveway along some streets will be closed.
"It will cause some inconvenience. So I apologize in advance on behalf of the administration before all the citizens of Kyiv, especially to those residents who live in these areas. But it is a feast coming throughout Europe, the feast of all countries, so it still prevails over those minor inconveniences that might arise," Holubchenko said.
As reported, earlier, the Swedish fans appealed to the Kyiv authorities to give them a free path before the game of their team to hold traditional march.
