Swedish fans staying in the camp on Trukhaniv Island coped with the consequences of yesterday's hurricane in a few hours, ForUm learned from one of the Swedish fans Morten Erlandsson.

"We were standing in water up to ankles in our camps. We had to scoop it and then to hung up our things on the branches of trees to dry them. We did everything ourselves, but such are the conditions of life in any camping," he said.

Swedish fan told that during Euro 2008 he lived in camping city in Austria, and then the fans also had problems because of the constant heavy rains. Erlandsson complained that the water in the showers is flowing dirty, and the residents of the camping city have also problems with the sanitary conveniences.

He also added that he is not afraid of attacks by racists in Ukraine, as in his opinion Ukrainians are very hospitable and friendly people. "I am afraid only of pickpockets and thieves," he concluded.

The delegation of the Swedish National Team Fans Association took the offer of the Pleso public utility company  (out of more than 15 other offers) to place temporary camps for the Swedish fans on the Central beach, located on Trukhaniv island. Approximately 5-7 thousand people can live there.

On June 9, the first deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Mazurchak personally checked that the Swedish fans were satisfied with living in the fan camping.
