The government expects that Ukraine will proceed with the practice of mass construction of affordable housing, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during the meeting with expert economists to discuss import substitution, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Recently we have been observing a kind of distortion: the ongoing construction of luxury housing. However, it is expensive and is not affordable for the majority of our citizens," Azarov said.
In addition, the Prime Minister stressed that it is possible to produce ceramics and sanitary ware in Ukraine. "In the past Ukraine produced these goods. It is possible to renew production now. We just need to create incentives for businessmen to implement such programs," he said.
