Election candidates may be brought to criminal responsibility if law enforcement agencies prove facts of bribing before the election campaign, deputy head of the Central Election Commission Andriy Magera declares.

According to him, CEC collects all reports on facts of provision of free goods and services for voters in regions, organized as charity support. "The same day we deliver these reports to law enforcement agencies to take measures," he said.

"If relevant bodies find a connection between such beneficial aid and registration as a candidate, this person may face criminal responsibility," the official added.

Magera also stressed that during every election campaign the CEC comes across the situations of indirect bribing. "And such cases become bolder and more explicit with every next election," the official pointed out.
