The experience achieved within preparations for Euro 2012 is of great importance for the further development of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych told a plenary meeting of the Council of national and foreign investors, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the President, preparing for the large-scale sports event became the additional impetus for national economic growth, job creation, including due to the offers made to the domestic construction companies.
"Preparations for the championship were very difficult but we succeed in completing everything in a good time. Modern airports and stadiums were constructed and reconstructed, nearly 2400 km of highways were built," the head f the state said.
He stressed that the whole infrastructure creates opportunities for further development and will serve future generations.
