As of June 5, 100 thousand USSR Savings Bank depositors were paid compensations in the total amount of 93 million UAH, the Prime Minister Azarov said during the government’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reported.
Moreover, Azarov mentioned that every depositor takes not more than 10-15 minutes. He also told that 1.6 million depositors were appointed the days of payment and nearly one million will undergo registration in the depositor’s data base.
As reported, the vice prime minister of Ukraine and the Social Policy of Ukraine minister Serhiy Tihipko informed that on June 1, the former USSR Savings Bank depositors compensation started to be paid smoothly.
As a reminder, the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said on March 7 that starting from June 1 and by the end of 2012 the partial compensation to the former USSR Savings Bank depositors is to be carried out. In particular, it is expected that 6 million citizens will be compensated with one thousand UAH.
Yanukovych expects that those compensated won’t get it cash, but leave money on deposit accounts.
Aiming to effective updating and creating maximally comfortable conditions for citizens, the schedule of personal information updating in the database was worked out.
